End-of-Year Marketing Checklist: What to Do Before the New Year

As the year comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to pause, review, and prepare your marketing for the new year. Use this end-of-year marketing list to reassess your marketing for next year and wrap up this year. 

  • Review Your Marketing Performance: Before planning ahead, you should look back and reflect on what worked best. You should review key metrics like traffic flow and conversions, identify top-performing campaigns, and compare your results to your original goals. 
  • Review Your Audience & Messaging: It is more than likely that your audience has changed their preferences and interests over the past year so it’s important that you analyze audience behavior and adjust messaging to better reflect your audience’s needs. 
  • Plan Ahead: You don’t need a full strategy at the moment, but it won’t hurt to start planning out some ideas you may have. You should try to set 3-5 marketing goals for the year, draft a rough content calendar for the first quarter, and identify key campaigns and launches.
